My top 5 reasons why 'in home' family photography sessions are the way to go!
When you think of family photography, the images that may come to mind might be ones taken in a studio or perhaps basking in the sunset glow in a field full of beautiful poppies. These kind of family portraits are amazing and may be exactly what you are looking for, but these are not for me and if you stick with me I will tell you why.
I am a family photographer in Woking, Surrey and my love for this comes from a deep rooted belief that our imperfect lives are in fact our own perfect ones. Photographs give us the precious possibility of telling our unique story and I think moments captured in our own homes do this in a super special way, that studio sessions cannot do.
So, here are my top 5 reasons why an in home family photography session is the way to go:
1: You and the kids are most relaxed at home. You're comfortable, surrounded by the things you love and the people you love too.
2. Home is where you spend the majority of your time and we should celebrate this space! Capture your favourite place to share a story, where you drink your cup of tea in the morning, where the kids play together or where you bake cakes together. All of these moments deserve to be treasured... because they don't last forever!
3. It's weather proof! With location shoots, we are reliant on good weather condition. But at home it doesn't matter so in the UK thats a big win as we never really know do we?!
4. Your photos will be so unique. Having beautiful photos that are completely personal is a wonderful thing. Truly.
5. See you home with fresh eyes. You may be bored of your home, especially after lockdown but I can help give you fresh eyes to see if from another perspective... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder isn't it?!
There you have it! I believe that an ‘in home’ family photoshoot tells your story in a really beautiful and unique way… do you?
I am excited to be announcing a special offer for my family photography sessions in Woking next week to celebrate the next milestone of the end of lockdown! If you would like to be the first to hear please sign up to my newsletter via this link.
